Create a mosaic using a log file

When images are collected using a motorized stage, the acquisition software usually produce extra information (e.g. log file) including motorized XY setting and the location information of the individual image. By simply selecting the log file from the local hard drive, imago will import images into album. imago also provides you a preview of a mosaic in both stack and z-projection.

Importing images

  1. Select Albums and right click.
  2. Choose the menu Import Multi Area Time Lapse Log
  3. Select a log file from the folder.
  4. Type an album name you want in the dialogue box.

Register images

After importing is done, the log file and all images are in the same album

  1. Select a log file from the album and Right Click.
  2. Select the menu Register Multi Area Time Lapse Images
imago offers to create projection images before registration

1.Preview of a new mosaic.

imago will show you a a preview window of a low resolution version of the mosaicked image. If you like the preview, click Register images.

2. Enter a name for the new mosaic and choose a mapping.

Mayachitra imago will ask you the name of the resulting mosaicked image that will be added to the album and the settings to use.

  1. Type the name of the resulting mosaicked image.
  2. Select Translation as a mapping.
  3. Click Start

3. Done.

After a while the registration engine will finish its job and imago will add the mosaicked image to the album.
