Quick and easy image processing

Now your all images are organized in Mayachitra imago. You can edit your images.

First, double click an image to open it in imago's image viewer.

imago does not overwrite your images.

Mayachitra imago always keeps your original image intact. The changes you make can only be viewed in imago until you export or save the image with its changes.

Bitmap effects

imago features a set of image enhancement tools to improve the quality of your microscopic images. Open the Effects pane and click the thumbnail image to remove noise, to sharpen images, to enhance the contrast, or to create a binary image. Simple and one-click effects will make the image enhancement fun and easy.

Adjust your images with caution.

Image enhancement is beneficial when done for appropriate reasons. Mayachitra imago treats your image as quantitative data. All changes made in an image are recorded while preserving its original image throughout the process. For safety, the changes you make can be only viewed in imago until you export or save the image with its changes.

You can check all changes you made in an image using the history window. You can go to any intermediate image by simply clicking the effect name in the history window. For this example, four different bitmap effects are applied to an image. Do you notice delete icon? You can remove any operations. This will remove any subsequent operations as well.

Image resizing

Resizing images with Mayachitra imago is done with a few simple steps. Resizing results are instantly updated in the image viewer. imago will save the resized image as an additional image in your local drive.

Histogram and image statistics

A histogram illustrates how pixels in an image are distributed by graphing the number of pixels at each color intensity level. By moving a vertical bar on the histogram, you can see the statistics of a selected pixel intensity. For this example, there are 30896 pixels at the intensity value 176 in the red channel.

You can also assign a color to each channel using imago's pseudo-color lookup table. You can display all channels at the same time.
