Publication tag
It is important to quickly locate the images that have been published, and their original images (if they are modified or analyzed). Put your publication information into imago's publication tag. You can simply link your images with publications. imago also provides search functionality so you can quickly search images by a publication tag.
There are multiple ways to add a publication tag to imago. You can add a new reference to an individual image or copy a publication tag from one image and paste it to either one or multiple images.
Open Mayachitra imago's publication tag
There are two ways to edit a publication tag.
1. Double click an image to open in "image viewer screen". Select Publication tab.
2. Select either a single image or multiple images and right click. Choose the menu Publication Tag and Edit / View.

Add a reference to Publication Tags
- Add, Remove button: To add a new publication tag, you can simply click add button
. A selected publication tag can be simply deleted by clicking the delete
button. - Publication tag list: The publication tag list displays the references added to a selected image. A selected publication tag will be displayed as it will be formatted for a bibliography in its tooltip.
- Author: Always enter author names one name per line. After typing one author's name, hit Enter. If an author’s name is too long to fit on a single line, let it wrap to the next line as you type it. As you type, a reference is displayed as it will be formatted for a bibliography.
- Title: Enter titles without a period or any other punctuation at the end.
Book Title: Enter journal/proceeding name.
Volume : Enter a volume number.
Issue : Enter an issue number.
Pages : Page ranges can be entered as complete (e.g. 101-103).
Year : Enter the published year.
Date : Enter the exact date of a publication. - Key Words: Use the Keywords field to store keywords that you want to
associate with the reference. You can search images by key words.
Abstract : Use the Abstract field for a brief description.
Note: Use note field for additional information about images. - Caption: Enter the caption of a selected image.
- URL: A URL (uniform resource locator) is the term for the address used to locate a specific page of information with your Web browser. Type or paste a valid URL into the field. For example, http://www.mayachitra.com.
When you finish it, you can either add another publication tag using the add button
, or you can move on to next image.
Copy and paste your publication tag
You don't need to type the same publication tag over and over again. If you want to tag images with already existing publication tag:
- Choose an image that is already tagged and right click.
- Select the menu Publication Tag and choose Copy.
- Choose images that you would like to tag with the same publication and right click.
- Select a menu Publication Tag and choose Paste.

After adding or pasting a publication tag to an image, image thumbnail will display a "paper clip" icon to indicate that the image has additional information attached (e.g. publication, annotations, or image analysis).

Search by your publication
You can search the images using your publication tags.
- Select Search button from the right top of the album viewer.

- Click
and choose Publication.
Type any part of text in your publication tag. For example, you can type one of author names, a part of title, or a journal name.
