VideoReg features
Feeling dizzy because of a shaky video?
Mayachitra VideoReg will make you feel better.
Video registration and stabilization is not an easy task. Mayachitra VideoReg provides a unified solution that mitigates the problem of shaking and jitter in many different scenarios: when your video is acquired by a moving platform (such as a UAV), by an hand held camera or by any recording device that is subject to shaking. The output of our software is either a stabilized video or an accurate and seamless panorama. VideoReg is the ideal tool to obtain an excellent overview of the scene acquired by your camera or to stabilize a video for further processing.
One solution for video stabilization and video mosaicking
Video mosaicking and stabilization are two sides of the same coin. Why spending money in two different products when Mayachitra VideoReg can solve both problems?
Unprecedented levels of robustness and accuracy
If your platform streams noisy videos, Mayachitra VideoReg technology can help you to obtain robust and accurate registration for situational awareness, without spending thousands of dollars on expensive camera gimbals.
In the two examples below, we show how Mayachitra VideoReg mitigates the effects of error accumulation in long video sequences. The sample videos below, composed of 200 frames, are acquired during a helicopter flyby over an urban area. With VideoReg global refinement technology enabled
In this first example, obtained using Mayachitra global refinement proprietary technology, the effect of error accumulation is greatly reduced and the frames are accurately warped for the entire duration of the video stream (note how the edges of the main road remain parallel for the entire length of the video). Note that Mayachitra VideoReg technology relies solely on the content of the video, and it does not require input from expensive GPS or IMUs.
Without VideoReg global refinement technology
Compare the previous results with this example, obtained disabling Mayachitra global refinement. The error accumulates frame after frame and the last part of the mosaic looks visibly distorted (in particular the edges of the road diverge towards the end of the mosaic).
Configuration flexibility
VideoReg can be launched from command line and the parameters specific to the video and the internal options can be conveniently set inside two INI files. The options will allow you to tailor the functionality of VideoReg for your specific task and to process video streams composed of thousands of frames with no supervision or manual intervention. VideoReg runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS platforms.
